Hulstrom K-8 is a district magnet school specializing in advanced academics and gifted education, serving kindergarten through eighth grade students in Adams 12 Five Star Schools. We are dedicated to nurturing the whole gifted child by combining rigorous academic curriculum with enrichment opportunities and social-emotional learning. Our highly trained team of teachers, specialists, and administrators is deeply experienced in addressing the unique needs of gifted learners. Under the leadership of our principal, who holds a Doctorate in Gifted Education and is a past President of the Colorado Association for the Gifted and Talented, Hulstrom K-8 consistently ranks as one of the top-performing schools in Colorado. Our mission is to inspire gifted and advanced students to passionately pursue their unlimited potentials within a diverse and supportive community.

How does Hulstrom K-8 get involved with our community? Hulstrom K-8 is actively involved in fostering a vibrant and engaged community. We provide opportunities for students to connect with their peers, families, and local organizations through our many academic and enrichment programs along with our various organizations, clubs, and competitions. Our school promotes inclusivity and collaboration by recognizing and celebrating the diverse talents and contributions of all of our members. Our commitment to social-emotional learning extends beyond the classroom, promoting a culture of dignity and restorative practices that strengthen the bonds within our school community and beyond. Hulstrom’s strong collaboration with its parent-teacher association strengthens the community and nurtures a shared sense of belonging by uniting educators, parents, and students in meaningful initiatives that enhance the learning environment as well as the community at large.
