Celebration Station
Years in Business:
42 years
Meet RVP of Operations: Ted Marek

Celebration Station opened its first location in July of 1982, and the location had many updates throughout the beginning which set the ground for all the future Celebration Stations. The company grew quickly, opening 2 parks in 1990, 3 parks in 1991, 5 parks in 1992, 3 in 1993, and the final park in 1994.

All Celebration Stations offered both indoor and outdoor activities. This included go-karts, miniature golf, and batting cages, and some had kiddie rides, while others had kid go-karts, arcades, and food service. Most also had animatronic stage shows. Through the years, many updates would take place from adding new attractions, such as laser tag, paintball, go-kart tracks, bumper cars, and several others. Parks also went through a series of layout design changes, annual game updates, and paint schemes.

The parks were purchased by Five Star Parks in January of 2022. Since then, they have given all of the parks a new fresh look. Locations have seen some updates to the colors and looks of the buildings, new games, updated menus, attractive packaging, and an exciting new look to the Celebration Station logo.

What’s something you learned while being a part of Celebration Station?

I have had the pleasure of working with some truly talented and amazing people over the last 28 years at Celebration Station, and it would be hard to narrow down to one. There are hundreds of technical things that I have learned, but the most impactful thing I have learned is from all the people. It amazes me what you can learn from others, everyday. We are in the business of FUN, creating memories and amazing experiences.

What do you enjoy the most about having Celebration Station in our city?

There is a lot of history in Baton Rouge, a great food scene, the people are relaxed, and they enjoy family time. It offers so much in things-to-do. Baton Rouge has really grown since we first opened in February of 1990.

What’s next for Celebration Station?

There are so many options. The teams, at all levels, are always brainstorming and creating short- and long-term plans. We are always looking at the latest and greatest games, new food items, technology, updated equipment, and what attractions we can add.
