Years in Business: 14 years
Meet the Owner: Violet Tremblay

Painting and Pinot began when Violet Tremblay, the co-owner of Painting and Pinot, was looking for a hobby. Violet wanted to pursue a sport or something creative, and to help her find her passion, her husband, Chris, bought her a beginner art set. It turned out that Violet was really great at painting, and it was a great stress reliever. While painting one day, she realized that turning her hobby into a job was the route she wanted to take, and her husband supported her. Fourteen years later, Violet and her husband are co-owners of Painting and Pinot, a place where anyone can find their inner artist.

How do you make it a point to put families first at Painting and Pinot? I know how stressful birthday party planning/day-of-party activities can be because I have two daughters. When I was creating our birthday parties, I really asked myself what I would want and how I would want to be helped. Our parties are a one-stop shop. Book us and we’ll take care of everything!

What do you enjoy the most about having the business in our area? I love the people of Baton Rouge. We have gotten to share in so many special events with our customers. From first dates to proposals, engagement parties, wedding showers, graduations and retirement parties, we have done it all with our customers.

What’s next for Painting and Pinot? I am constantly looking for the next “thing” we can do in the studio. In October of last year, we were able to do the TikTok “Thrifted Art” trend in a class. It was so much fun painting little ghosts on the thrifted art. We were able to donate $300 to St. Jude because of that class!
